Pickwick Way, Chislehurst, Kent
Conversion of existing double garage with internal
alterations to provide a huge double aspect modern Kitchen/Dining space.
A detached double garage was then replaced in the space to the side of the
house after major excavation was carried out.
Because of the gradient approximately half of the new garage was below
ground level requiring water proofing treatment to the walls to prevent
any penetration of damp.
Foundations were a reinforced structural slab with the addition of a
French drain around the perimeter directed to a soak away to ensure water
never collects around the structure.
The driveway was then finished off using Granite edgings and Red
Tarmacadam drive surface in keeping with other properties in the area.

Newstead Avenue, Orpington, Bromley, Kent
Originally a 3 bed detached house with 1 family
bathroom this property is now going to benefit from a two storey rear
extension and single storey side extension to provide 4 beds 2 en-suite 1
family bath with more versatile accommodation on the ground floor
including large kitchen dining area and enlarged garage.
Before building works could be undertaken there were substantial
landscaping works required as the property is on a sloping site.
Once dug out Oak sleepers were set in concrete vertically and backfilled
behind to act as a retainer instead of large expanses of brickwork.
Major structural alterations were also carried out with large steel beams
being erected up into the floor space to allow continuous ceilings from
the existing accommodation through to the new additions.

Crockham Hill, Kent
The construction of an individually designed new contemporary single
storey home for clients including basement and swimming pool.
The property and swimming pool are constructed sitting on piled
foundations which were required due to poor ground conditions on a
hillside. The basement is formed using a re-enforced concrete shell
incorporating a tanking system outside.
The construction at ground level has been achieved with the use of a steel
and timber frame together with huge expanses of glass.
The exterior has been finished using a “Sto” through colour acrylic
render. Roof coverings are “Sarnafil” single ply membrane.
Internally the clients have made use of all the latest components and
technology that is currently available e.g. lighting, audio visual
systems, under floor heading throughout, ground source heat pumps, water
harvesting providing a grey water system for the flushing of WC’s and
outside water supplies etc. The image gallery shows
the build to near completion with deck level pool and electric retractable
Solar/Safety cover. |
