Development of a site in Badgers Mount, Sevenoaks - four new detached houses.

Following our acquisition of the lower section of the old Fox’s Garage in Badgers Mount which historically housed the MOT station and fuel pumps for the garage, we commissioned architects to design a scheme consisting of four houses.

Three houses of almost identical design with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and one Chalet Bungalow offering 2 Bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms.

The site proved difficult due to a number of contamination issues including the requirement for fuel tank decommissioning and removal. Once fuel tanks were removed large voids remained under where the foundations were to be for the new properties, as there was an underground rail tunnel below piling was not an option. With the assistance of our engineer, foundations were designed using concrete pads with steel beams spanning between them. A decontamination program was carried out that rendered the site safe for residential occupation.

The properties were built to a high specification and standard featuring:

Underfloor Heating, Bi-folding doors, Villeroy and Boch bathrooms, Porcelanosa tiles and luxury well equipped fitted kitchens, together with an extremely low maintenance exterior with Astroturf and 10 year NHBC warranty.
